Shell Tellus S2 MX 46 is a high-performance, anti-wear (AW) hydraulic fluid based on premium Group II base oils, designed for outstanding protection and performance in a wide range of industrial and mobile equipment operations. It is available in various packaging sizes, including a 209-litre (55-gallon) drum.

- Long Fluid Life – Maintenance Saving: The fluid resists thermal and chemical breakdown, which helps minimize sludge formation and can significantly extend maintenance intervals. It has a minimum TOST life of 5,000 hours in the ASTM D943 test.
- Outstanding Wear Protection: It incorporates a proven zinc-based anti-wear additive system to be effective throughout the range of operating conditions, contributing to longer component life and meeting key industry specifications such as Parker Denison (HF-0, HF-1, HF-2), Eaton E-FDGN-TB002-E, and Fives (Cincinnati Machine) P-70.
- Maintaining System Efficiency: Excellent filterability, rapid water separation, air release, and anti-foam characteristics all help maintain or enhance the efficiency of hydraulic systems. The fluid boasts a high cleanliness level of ISO 4406 20/18/15 or better at the point of filling.
